Three Effective Ways to Implement Bloggers in EFL Classes
Using blogs can improve the learning experience in EFL classes in different ways; for instance, in terms of creativity, communication, and collaboration. Students can create their own blog the way they want; choosing the layout, theme, and other characteristics included the blog's settings. They can also communicate effectively with their classmates by using their blog to share ideas and improve their communication skills. Besides, students can collaborate among each other by using their blogs. They can develop the ability to work with colleagues by using the comment feature of blogging for peer review to help them develop the trust and ability to provide and accept constructive criticism in their learning community. The following are three examples of how blogs can be implemented in EFL classes:1- Digital Portfolios: Students can manage a blog as a portfolio and add everything needed on it.
2- Writing Forums: Students can create a blog to post written works in order to get feedback and comments from their classmates.
3- Art Galleries: Students can design a blog in which they post pictures or photos of a determined topic depending of the task and share the link to their classmates to get comments about their own gallery.
